National Alpaca Farm Days
September 27 and 28, 2008
10:00 am - 6 pm
On September 27 and 28, alpaca breeders
from across the United States and Canada will
invite the public to come to their farm or ranch
to meet their alpacas and learn more about these
inquisitive, unique animals. From 10am till 6pm,
Gilliland's Heritage Alpacas will welcome guests
to join them for many activities including Carvel
ice cream and smoothies, inflatables, demonstrations
by hand spinners, hat felting, needle felting,
drop spindle spinning, face painting for the children,
cotton candy, other treats and a fortune teller!
Drinks and water will be available.
Admission is $5.00 per person
and that includes the educational tour, feeding
the alpacas with carrots and all children under
12 receive a free goody bag. Browse our new Alpaca
Gift Shop for unique Christmas gifts made from
alpaca. We feature local artists' gifts and proudly
announce the following alpaca farms and others
that will be joining us for our Alpaca Farm Days:
Rosewood Alpacas, Lustery Farm Alpacas, Legacy
Alpacas, Mockingbird Hilltop Farm, Camelot Alpacas,
Banks Creek Alpacas, Plum Healthy Natural Herbs
and Healing, Barbara Garland (local artist), Victoria
& Kim Harris (face painters and clown).
